El cubano BULLAUDY es uno de los artistas que más retratos ha hecho del mártir de la independencia de Cuba, José Martí. Porque para él, como para la mayoría de sus compatriotas,ha constituido un ser extraordinario; el poeta que dio a ese pedazo de isla el reconocimiento de su auténtica identidad.
Por tanto, en cada uno de sus bustos trata, a través de técnicas diferentes, de ofrecernos la semblanza multifacética de un ser único, hasta cifrar unas claves estilísticas que den la total verdad del personaje.
Alguien puede pensar que estamos ante un intento de idolatrización, y es muy libre de hacerlo, pero no por eso alguna de estas obras dejan de ser una magnífica recreación del hombre, su historia y su último destino.

En el momento en que ya ha madurado esa reflexión que te las acerca, que te ha introducido en ellas, la escritura es fácil si tu mirada está centrada en esa visión de la que vas a hablar.
